Hi, I’m Marlies!

The owner of Marlies Fitness and a Personal Trainer Exeter. I believe every woman deserves to feel strong, confident, and truly happy in her own body. Trust me, after 10 years of going to the gym and trying numerous workout programs, I’m a personal trainer who has been there and got every t-shirt going when it comes to overcoming anxiety and feeling good about going to the gym.

Based in Exeter, Devon, Marlies Fitness is not just about reps and routines, I’m here to help you rediscover your power, boost your self-esteem, and build a lifestyle that makes you feel good from the inside out.

What can you expect from Marlies Fitness? I’m a friendly, down-to-earth PT who can be found most days at my home gym, Snap Fitness in Exeter. I create a space where you can ask questions, make mistakes and learn without any judgement. I’ll explain everything clearly, coach your technique step by step and build a plan around your goals – whether that’s fat loss, getting stronger, “toning up”, or just feeling better in your clothes.

It’s about digging into the real stuff — your habits, your lifestyle, your mindset — and unravelling what’s been holding you back from feeling amazing in your skin.

Every personal trainer has their own style — mine’s a mix of structure, honesty and energy! Everything we do will be personal to your goals, but this will give you a sense of the flow and the love I pour into every part of the process.

Before we dive in
We’ll chat, either in person or online, to get to know each other and explore what’s going on for you right now. Whether it’s a specific goal or just feeling stuck, a great way to see if we’re a good fit.

Your bespoke programme
We’ll shape your workouts around your goals and what works for your life. In-person PT, online coaching, or a mix of both. I’ll guide, but you’re always in control - and yes, we can tweak as we go!

Set up
You’ll get a welcome pack with how it all works, plus my fave tools to keep things fun. Set clear goals from the off so we both know what to expect. No fluff — just fun and a plan to smash it!

Daily Support
You’ll get little text nudges, pep talks, and support when things get wobbly. I’m in your corner every step, keeping you motivated and making sure you never feel alone. Because you’re not.

Weekly check-in
You’ll fill out a short form each week (10 quick Qs, promise). I use this and your habit tracker to tweak the plan and keep you moving forward — with support that actually reflects your week.

Monthly progress
Once a month, we zoom out. We’ll review your wins, challenges, and what’s ahead. This is your chance to reflect, reset, and tell me if anything’s shifted since we started.
