MARLIES FITNESS Personal Trainer
Female Personal Trainer Exeter.
Let’s build the strongest, happiest version of you together.
Hi, I’m Marlies!
The owner of Marlies Fitness and a female personal trainer in Exeter. I believe every woman deserves to feel strong, confident, and truly happy in her own body. Trust me, after 10 years of going to the gym and trying numerous workout programs, I’m a personal trainer who has been there and got every t-shirt going when it comes to overcoming anxiety and feeling good about going to the gym.
Based in Exeter, Devon, Marlies Fitness is not just about reps and routines, I’m here to help you rediscover your power, boost your self-esteem, and build a lifestyle that makes you feel good from the inside out.
Maybe you’ve lost a bit of yourself since becoming a mum. Maybe you’re stuck in that exhausting start-stop cycle: full of motivation one minute, totally over it the next. Or maybe you’ve done all the “right” programmes and still felt like something’s missing. Sound familiar? Then a personal trainer might just be the magic you didn’t know you needed.

Whether you’re new to fitness or getting back into it, my mission at Marlies Fitness is simple: to support women of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds on their personal journey towards feeling healthier, happier and more in control of their bodies — no crash diets, no gym intimidation, just real, sustainable results.

Don’t take my word for it, see what my clients have to say!
Deborah. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What I really appreciate about Marlies is the attention to detail and the care she puts into my workouts. This is different to my experience with trainers in the past. Furthermore, while she respects my limits, she never underestimates what I can do and I find this very encouraging. I highly recommend Marlies Fitness.
Ellie. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My experience with Marlies has been great. I’ve never been to a gym or a PT before, but I’m in my mid-40s wanted to learn how to exercise properly and safely. I was drawn to her business card in Between Bread in Exeter, went straight to the website and booked right away. The website was so well put together, and that in itself gave me confidence to book. Then, when I met Marlies, she was so supportive, encouraging and flexible in her approach. She really listens and adapts her programme to what suits her clients. Plus, she’s really good company during an hour in the gym.
Antony. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you’re busy, tired, and your calendar looks like a game of Tetris… welcome to modern life.

Leopard print enthusiast, and proud passport stamp collector.
Based right here in Exeter, but my heart (and suitcase) are often somewhere between Dubai’s skyscrapers, the cobbled streets of Rome, or the snow-capped mountains of Austria visiting my family.
My happy place? It’s a three-way tie between the gym, an airport lounge, and a sunny terrace with something fizzy in hand.

I love movement — whether it’s lifting weights, exploring new cities on foot, or chasing my nieces around an Austrian garden.
